AS ICONIC AS THE LAMAN STREET FIGS: Real Novocastrians have been busy at work trying to locate Super Hubert in advance of Sunday’s big game.
Having just celebrated his 80th birthday, the local legend even received an Order of Australia Medal for his service to the local community.
Gillian Ben’s, who sat as Chair of the ‘Locate Super Hubert Task Force’ convened early on Tuesday, provided official comment to the Standard:
“No one will be left behind. The country has award Hube, and it won’t be the same without him.”
Looking into our camera to address Newcastle’s very own superhero personally, she delivered a plea:
“There are people who love you. Just come home. Make yourself known at the Kent for all we care.
